Every new student begins with the complete Alpha Courses package. Alpha develops the planning, time management, study habits, communication, self-direction, and reflective thinking students need to take ownership of learning.

The student, parents, and lead educator then design an individualized course plan around the student's educational and career goals. Coursework is self-paced, so students can begin at any time through rolling registration.

The SEED difference

One-on-one mentorship,
every step of the way.

A lead educator knows each student's goals, checks progress, answers questions, and schedules individual sessions. Online and hybrid students receive the same human connection during their online days, with a lead educator available throughout the daily schedule.

Three participation options

Choose where learning
works best.

The program year generally runs from September 15 or 16 through June 15 or 16, with standard academic breaks and holidays for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

In-person

Attend at SEED in Redmond five weekdays each week, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Hybrid

Attend in person two or three weekdays each week and participate online from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the remaining weekdays.

Online

Participate online from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each weekday, with educator check-ins, one-on-one sessions, and help throughout the day.

The Founding Student Discount is available to the first 10 students registered across all Comprehensive Homeschool Support options. Payment plans are available to every family; regular-rate monthly amounts are adjusted to reach the applicable tuition.

A one-time, nonrefundable $300 setup fee is charged separately from the deposit and tuition.

Learning resources

Course materials, curriculum subscriptions, lunch, field trips, community outings, and program trips are included. Transportation is not included.

Community connection

Greater Seattle students should strive to join weekly educational trips. Students farther away should strive to join monthly community and team-building trips. Every online student participates in at least one in-person SEED trip each program year.

Washington annual evaluation

For Washington families, SEED arranges the required annual academic-progress evaluation with a qualified Washington-certificated teacher at no additional cost.

Planning and records

Families receive portfolio evidence and a SEED Academic Record to support annual reviews, future transfers, diploma planning, and college applications.

In-person participation takes place at 2687 151st Pl NE, Redmond, WA 98052. The online option is available to families outside Washington as well as within the state.

Homeschool requirements differ by state. Families outside Washington are responsible for following the laws and recordkeeping requirements where they live.

Scholarships and financial assistance are available for Comprehensive Homeschool Support families.
