Meaningful Employment and Training Support Program
Working in our Gardening Program
Are you looking for a unique and engaging opportunity to learn about gardening, healthy eating habits, and sustainable agriculture practices? Look no further than the gardens being established by SEEDWA in the community!
Our gardens are not just any ordinary gardens - we incorporate aquaponics, hydroponics, and wicking beds to provide a hands-on learning experience that highlights the benefits of growing and consuming fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as eco-friendly agriculture practices. This program is specifically tailored to meet the needs of youth with autism and ADHD on the NDIS.
By participating in our gardening program, you'll have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about innovative and sustainable farming techniques, engage in community building, and develop essential life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and self-confidence.
At SEEDWA, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn and grow, and we're committed to making our program accessible to individuals with diverse needs. Our inclusive and supportive environment ensures that all participants feel welcome and supported.
Building Sheds and Structures
Learning to build sheds and structures in a safe and stress free environment can be a great way to develop practical skills and gain confidence. Working with your hands and seeing the results of your hard work can be incredibly satisfying. The goal of this program is to learn the basics of building, from selecting the right materials to constructing and finishing a project. With the right advice, you can learn how to build a variety of structures like sheds, gazebos, playhouses and more. With the help of your expert coach, you’ll have the satisfaction of seeing something you’ve created with your own two hands.
Supporting each other
Working together with others can help you build your skills and increase your confidence. It can also help you find the motivation to achieve your goals. Additionally, having the support of others can provide you with the emotional and mental support you need during challenging times. With the right support, you can take on any obstacle and find success. Together, we can create a strong and supportive environment that will help you reach your full potential.
Be creative
By tapping into your creative potential, you can find new solutions to challenging problems and unlock your own inner power. You will be fully supported while growing at your own pase. You will uncover your unique talents and strengths, and find the tools you need to express yourself in meaningful ways. You'll soon be able to express yourself in ways you never thought possible!
Doing Gardening
Gardening can be providing you with an opportunity to connect with nature, reduce stress, and improve physical and mental wellbeing. Gardening can also help to develop new skills, including problem-solving, patience, and focus. With a bit of support, you can learn how to use gardening as a tool to help you reach your personal and professional goals while earning a good income too. This project is separate from our gardening program. You will be working within a team environment to maintain existing gardens around the area.
